Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment while maintaining OSHA compliance
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision and care
- Manage patient records using our advanced digital dental software (Epicure)
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Coordinate treatment plans and educate patients on post-procedure care
- Maintain immaculate operatory inventory and supply chain management
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or DAEF certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and imaging software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- CPR/BLS certification from Red Cross or AHA
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining precision
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software preferred
