Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and manage digital imaging systems
- Administer chairside assistance during exams and treatments
- Maintain immaculate operatory inventory and ordering supplies
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage electronic health records and scheduling coordination
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
