Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during all procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols (OSHA guidelines).
- Take and develop high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all materials are stocked.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and assisting with insurance verification.
- Greet patients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and provide post-operative instructions.
- Assist with office duties such as ordering supplies and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license (RDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
