Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and restorative work.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict health and safety protocols.
- Take and develop high-quality dental x-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Perform coronal polishing and other chairside assisting duties as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and clinical area.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
