Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist chairside during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
- Take and develop digital X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and prepare required paperwork accurately.
- Greet patients warmly, manage phone inquiries, and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Texas Dental Assistant License (or eligibility to obtain).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- One to two years of experience in a dental practice is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
