Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain dental equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and oral surgeries
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Manage patient records using our digital dental software (Epic experience preferred)
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory control
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification (CODA or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- CPR/BLS certification and current state radiology license
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong communication skills with a patient-first approach
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Valid Illinois Dental Assistant license
