Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, and root canals.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols (OSHA).
  • Take and develop digital dental x-rays (radiographs) and other diagnostic images as directed.
  • Provide chairside assistance, including four-handed dentistry and material mixing.
  • Guide patients through their appointments, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories in the dental software system.
  • Order and manage dental supplies and inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred; New Grads welcome to apply!
  • Current Tennessee Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain licensure immediately.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Curve Dental) is a plus.
