Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including examinations, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure diagnostic quality
- Manage patient records and update treatment histories accurately
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain a smooth clinical workflow
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEFB or DANB)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of dental software (Epic, Dentrix, etc.)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid California dental radiography permit
