Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures, ensuring strict sterilization protocols
- Assist dentists during complex treatments including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Take and develop digital dental X-rays with precision and patient safety
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain digital patient records and inventory of dental supplies
- Coordinate with front desk team for seamless patient flow
- Assist in emergency dental procedures with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Experience with Eaglesoft/Dentrix EMR systems preferred
