Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate seamless patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Perform accurate charting and documentation using dental software
Qualifications
- Active Washington Dental Assistant certification (DAEF or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for multi-quadrant procedures
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to manage anxious patients with empathy and professionalism
