Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and dental operatory for procedures including sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and endodontics
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and Dentrix software systems
- Implement infection control protocols per OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments and patient education
- Coordinate inventory management and supply ordering for clinical operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental imaging software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instrument sterilization
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Valid Wisconsin dental radiography permit
