Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Epic/Dentrix)
- Assist in administrative tasks including scheduling and billing support
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license in New Jersey
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and equipment
- Excellent communication skills and patient demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Experience with digital dental record systems required
