Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorative treatments, and orthodontic adjustments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient retraction
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort prioritized
- Maintain sterile operatory environments following OSHA and CDC protocols
- Manage patient flow, appointment scheduling, and digital charting in Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Train dental hygiene students on advanced chairside techniques
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for 8-operatories
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general/specialty dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- Proficiency with practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Maryland RDA license preferred
