Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Manage patient intake, medical histories, and appointment scheduling
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient workflows
- Administer local anesthetics and monitor patient vitals during procedures
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient comfort and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Spanish language proficiency preferred (not required)
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
