Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with precision for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation
- Operate centrifuges and other lab equipment efficiently
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- KY state phlebotomy license in good standing
- Strong venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities
- Proficient in EHR documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- CPR/BLS certification required
