Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Provide clinical guidance and triage protocols for diverse medical cases
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Educate patients on self-care and follow-up procedures
- Monitor emergency department workflow and adjust staffing as needed
- Respond to critical situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities across diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with relevant experience)
