Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and develop digital X-rays
- Manage patient flow and coordinate chairside assistance efficiently
- Administer infection control protocols and maintain clinical hygiene standards
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and record management
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS/RVG) and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure clinical environments
- Valid Illinois Dental Assistant license
