Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Take precise dental impressions and pour study models
- Administer local anesthesia under dentist supervision
- Manage patient scheduling and recall systems
- Train new assistants on practice protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and dental privacy regulations
- Valid North Carolina dental assistant permit
