Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Label and process specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and document procedures accurately
- Operate centrifuges and automated analyzers as needed
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient workflow
- Train new staff on equipment usage and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience with blood draws
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in handling provided medical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
