Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Perform infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Manage patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and digital record maintenance
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate with lab technicians for prosthetic device preparation
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant license (RDA or DA required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification and radiology safety training
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume practice
