Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Take and process dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and provide post-operative care instructions.
- Order and manage dental supplies and inventory to ensure clinic operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Dental Assisting.
- Current state licensure as a Dental Assistant (CDA/RDA preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern imaging equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
