Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and digital impressions
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimal wait times
- Perform chairside assistance with proper four-handed dentistry techniques
- Execute infection control protocols and maintain impeccable operatory hygiene
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or Radiology license (PA state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or DentalWorks practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional chairside skills and knowledge of dental instruments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
