Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians while closely monitoring patient reactions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet specific health needs.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and changes in condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions to stabilize patients.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland or Virginia.
- CPR certification (BLS/ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
