Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain supply organization
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with front desk team
Qualifications
- Ohio Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in dental practice
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Proficiency in digital radiography and sterilization protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
- Associate degree in dental assisting preferred
