Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography equipment
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Manage patient scheduling and chart documentation
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography (X-ray certification)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards (OSHA/CDC)
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
