Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain clinical supply levels
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant diploma or certificate from accredited program
- Current DANB or North Carolina Dental Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
