Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance for all equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain digital patient records
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Expertise in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient rapport
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Strong attention to infection control protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
