Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency nursing care to trauma patients in fast-paced ED environment
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and interpret diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for critical interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Implement patient education and discharge planning protocols
- Adhere to JCAHO and OSHA safety standards
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue responses
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 2 years ED experience in Level 1 Trauma setting
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN considered with 5+ years ED experience)
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
