Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure diagnostic image quality
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage digital patient records and appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification (CODA or equivalent)
- Current Georgia Dental Assistant license and radiography certification
- 2+ years clinical dental assisting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental safety protocols
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
