Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and insurance verification
- Provide chairside support during procedures and post-operative care instructions
- Order inventory, manage supplies, and ensure equipment functionality
- Deliver outstanding patient experiences with compassionate communication
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska Dental Assistant certification or DANB registration
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
