Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and patient treatment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photos as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and assist with insurance billing verification.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-free clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical dental assisting experience is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus.
