Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures, including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suction, and patient retraction
- Capture and process high-quality dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient scheduling, digital records, and insurance documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
