Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms while maintaining strict sterilization protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage patient records, scheduling, and inventory with dental practice software
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Oversee infection control procedures and OSHA compliance
- Coordinate lab cases and maintain digital/physical documentation
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Current Indiana dental radiography certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- CPR certification and BLS training
