Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintain digital imaging systems
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Manage patient flow and chairside assistance with 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for diverse dental procedures
- Implement recall systems and patient education on oral hygiene practices
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant License or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry setting
- CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS, Dexis) practice management software
- Exceptional chairside skills and ability to anticipate clinician needs
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Detail-oriented with exceptional infection control standards
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously in fast-paced environment
