Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support, instrument preparation, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization of equipment and instruments
- Manage patient scheduling, digital charting, and front desk coordination
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for various dental procedures
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Experience with digital charting systems (Epic, Dentrix, etc.)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
