Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including sterilizing instruments and setting up operatory equipment
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Manage patient records, inventory control, and ordering of dental supplies
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid District of Dental Assistant license
