Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suctioning, and patient comfort management
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Execute administrative tasks: appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/EagleSoft software
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure
