Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage patient records using digital software (Epic experience preferred)
- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and operatory areas
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for patient appointments
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate with front desk staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Michigan Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or similar)
- High school diploma or equivalent
