Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including instrument handling and suction control
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital radiography systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Perform administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and record management
- Apply dental sealants and fluoride treatments as directed
- Ensure optimal patient comfort and education throughout visits
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (Maryland)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- CPR certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
