Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform precise dental radiography and develop diagnostic images
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient workflow
- Take detailed patient medical histories and record vital signs accurately
- Provide post-procedure education and oral hygiene guidance to patients
- Manage digital dental records and practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
