What You Will Do
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescriptions according to state and federal laws.
- Prepare medications for dispensing, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and clinical tasks.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and stocking shelves.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving issues.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., RxWorks, McKesson).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Valid FL Pharmacy Technician license.
