Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation
- Coordinate lab cases and maintain inventory of dental materials
- Provide chairside support with suction, instrument transfer, and patient comfort
- Perform sterilization and equipment maintenance following OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar practice management software
- CPR certification and knowledge of dental terminology
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities in fast-paced settings
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation
