Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including chairside support and instrument handling
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and patient records management
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Assist in emergency dental procedures when required
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software preferred
