Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and maintain operatory sterility
- Assist dentists during treatments including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage inventory and sterilization protocols for dental instruments
- Document patient records accurately in digital management systems
- Provide post-procedure instructions and patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow efficiently
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduate from accredited program
- Tennessee Dental Assistant license (or eligible)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
