Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide chairside support and comfort measures for anxious patients
- Coordinate infection control procedures and maintain sterile operatory environments
- Assist with patient scheduling and front desk operations as needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (DANB or CODA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning in dental technologies
