Your Role
As a Triage Nurse, you will be the critical link between patients and the medical team. You will assess incoming patient needs, prioritize care, and ensure that every individual receives the attention they deserve promptly.

Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize treatment plans.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, vitals, and medical history to provide appropriate triage recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to manage expectations and reduce anxiety.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs.
- Document all patient interactions, triage findings, and care instructions accurately in the EMR system.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed within the scope of the triage nurse role.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Certification: BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or Triage settings.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
