Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and clinical documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with front desk duties during peak hours
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of chairside assisting experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- CPR/BLS certification maintained through the American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral cameras required
