Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operatories according to OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow, digital charting, and inventory management using Dentrix software
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform preliminary patient assessments
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain impeccable infection control standards across all clinical areas
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental imaging software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume practice
