Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient room turnover between appointments
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, instrument transfer, and material mixing
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from accredited program (DANB/CDA preferred)
- Tennessee Dental Assistant license or eligibility
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
