Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during dental procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using our digital dental software (Dentrix)
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant diploma or certificate required
- Current DANB certification or eligibility for certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to ease patient anxiety
- Experience with digital dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix preferred)
- CPR certification (must be maintained)
